Skylight Glass Film is a mass-colored, heat-resistant polyester film with an adhesive coating designed to be applied to plastics.
Once Skylight film is applied, it forms an "optical laminate." That is, it has become one with the substrate. Skylight film resists the natural forces of plastic: strong expansion (tension) and outgassing (the passage of water vapor). Skylight film acts as a sunscreen by reflecting and absorbing solar energy.

Applications

Skylight film can be used on single, double or multi-walled plastic or glass panels of skylights or other light entry structures in all buildings where high solar shading and possibly reduced light penetration is desired. The glass film is basically designed to be applied on the inside.

Applying: Glass film Suncontrol has its own application service. Our employees have not only experience in application, but also the right equipment. They only apply the film when the temperature of the substrate is between 5 and 25 degrees Celsius. After about a month the optimal adhesion is achieved and the film is completely tightened.

Cleaning:z The strong polyester film resists cleaning well. The best cleaning agent is clean water with a splash of household vinegar. The best tools: a clean sponge and chamois.

Beware of sand grains and old hardened rubber pulls! Other sharp tools can also cause damage. Sharp cleaning chemicals are discouraged. Detailed cleaning instructions will be provided to you upon delivery of the film.

Dimensions: The width of the roll on which the film is delivered is 152 cm. This means that the maximum width when processing the film a window is about 151 cm. However, the film can also be applied if your windows are taller and wider. With larger windows it is necessary to apply a seam which is minimally visible when applied professionally.
