Switchfilm Glass Film
A switch in privacy
SwitchFilm Glass Film, or smart film is a self-adhesive Privacy Glass Film that can switch between frosted and transparent, also called electric glass film. The film is matte by itself and becomes transparent by low voltage. A remote control or wall switch, possibly with dimmer and timer, is used to control it.
The thickness of the smart film also prevents glass penetration, which contributes to security and delays burglary. It can also be used as a projection screen for commercial and presentation applications. Projecting on it is possible in both matte and transparent situation.
Even without electricity, the smart film allows sufficient (daytime) light through which is impossible with window coverings, resulting in a responsible and pleasant working environment.
General
Switchfilm is a 650 micron matte smart film that becomes transparent by low voltage. The film is fully installed by Glasfolie Suncontrol. That means: cut to size, delivered and installed including copper strips, wiring, transformer, KlikAan-KlikUit transmitter + receiver and plug.

Once applied, the smart film is very difficult to ignite. In addition, the Switchfilm Glass Film still reflects heat radiation for quite some time. In the event of a fire, the film retains the cracked glass for some time.

Warranty
On the combination, of the Switchfilm with copper strips and the wire fixed to the copper strips, there is a 2-year warranty. The film specifically has a 10-year warranty.

Apply
Suncontrol has its own application service. Our employees have not only experience in application, but also the right equipment. They only apply the film when the ground temperature is between 5 and 25 degrees Celsius. After about one month the optimal adhesion is achieved and the film is completely tightened.
Cleaning
The strong polyester film resists cleaning well(if given a waterproof finish!). The best cleaner is clean
water with a splash of household vinegar. The best tools: a clean sponge and chamois. Beware of sand grains and old hardened rubber squeegees! Other sharp tools can also cause damage. Sharp cleaning chemicals are discouraged. Detailed cleaning instructions will be provided to you upon delivery of the film. Caution! No tension on the film during cleaning.
Dimensions
The width of the roll on which the film is delivered is 100, 120 and 150 cm. This means that when processing the film, the maximum width of a window is about 150 cm. However, even if your windows are taller and wider, the film can be applied. With larger windows it is necessary to apply a seam.
