Switchfilm Glass Film
A switch in privacy
SwitchFilm Glass Film is a self-adhesive Privacy Glass Film that can switch between frosted and transparent, also called electric glass film. The film is matte by itself and becomes transparent with low voltage. A remote control or wall switch is used for control, possibly with dimmer and timer.
The thickness of the film also prevents glass penetration, which contributes to security and delays burglary. In addition, it can be used as a projection screen for commercial and presentation applications. Projecting on it can be done in both matte and transparent situation.
Even without electricity, the film allows sufficient (daytime) light through which is impossible with window coverings, resulting in a responsible and pleasant working environment.
General
Switchfilm is a 650 micron matte film that becomes transparent by low voltage. The film is fully installed by Glasfolie Suncontrol. That means: cut to size, delivered and installed including copper strips, wiring, transformer, KlikAan-KlikUit transmitter + receiver and plug.

Once glass film is applied, it is very difficult to ignite. In the process, the Switchfilm Glass Film still reflects heat radiation for quite some time. In case of fire, the film retains the cracked glass for some time.

The combination, of the Switchfilm with copper strips and the wire fixed to the copper strips, has a 2-year warranty. The film is specifically guaranteed for 10 years.

Apply
Glass film Suncontrol has its own application service. In addition to experience in application, our employees have the right equipment. They apply the film only when the temperature of the subsoil is between 5 and 25 degrees Celsius. After about one month, optimal adhesion is achieved and the film is completely tightened.
Cleaning
The strong polyester film resists cleaning well(provided it has a waterproof finish!). The best cleaner is clean
water with a splash of household vinegar. The best tools: a clean sponge and chamois. Beware of sand grains and old hardened rubber tractors! Other sharp tools can also cause damage. Sharp cleaning chemicals are discouraged. Detailed cleaning instructions will be provided to you upon delivery of the film. Note! During cleaning no tension on the film.
Dimensions
The width of the roll on which the film is delivered is 100, 120 and 150 cm. This means that when the film is processed, the maximum width of a window is about 150 cm. But even if your windows are taller and wider, the film can be applied. For larger windows, it is necessary to apply a seam.
